"Almost Transparent Blue" Ryu Murakami

azul casi transparente.jpg

Some time ago, when I was living in Madrid
I used to go to the library and take books
ramdomly for reading, so i discovered very
interestin writers like:
Clive Sinclair, Charles Baxter, Bernhard Schlink,...
and, of course, a lot of crap.

Well, one of the books I found in that library was
"Almost transparent blue" by Ryu Murakami.

Lost teenagers, hardcore, obssesed desperation,
and sharing loneliness in less than 200 brutal pages.

Ahí queda eso.

Very good photos by Arnoud Bakker.

Something enigmatic in this work.
Don't you think so?

Brendan Monroe

I discovered Brendan Monroe short time
ago visiting the fantastic Fecal Face
(Isn't it a great name?)

This painter and sculptor from SF is the most and
if I weren't run out of money I'll go straight on to buy
some of his work.
(I accept donations. Ja!)

Adaptation

Adaptation.jpg

Fantastic!

Fiction within the fiction with a touch of hallucinated reality.
Adaptation is one of those films that hits to you with a millimetrically complicated script by Charlie Kaufman
very well directed by the videocliper Spike Jonze.

Even "woodenface" Nicolas Cage is fantastic here.

Camille Seaman

Camile Seaman.jpg
camille.jpg

Camille Seaman is a nothamerican photographer
well know for her evocative polar images, where nature is shown in its
purest state.

Her images are able to become poetic icons of the destruction
of what we'll never get to know.
For that reason I cannot stop watching them.

¡Grande Camille!

Gogol Bordello "Wonderlust king"

Gogol Bordello is a multicultural band
based in New York.

They're a kind of Mano Negra in
an old Kusturica's movie, drunk and
dressed by the color-blinded brother of Galliano.
Or something like that.

Pues eso: Locos perdíos

Noir Desir "Le vent nous portera"

The video is not so much but
the song is so good.

Sometime ago Julien (a french friend of mine)
showed me this band.
Now I'm hearing their music again.

Tout va bien

Rebeccamissing in one of my favourite Flickr contacts.

I really like her polaroids (very 70s) with
the analog calm of its desaturated colors.

Very nice work, that's for sure

* You can see my horrible photos here,
by the way.

Dirt

Now, finished the firt season of Californication, I've
found in Dirt a good way replace it.
This is not so good but I like it.

It stars Courteney Cox as Lucy Spiller, the editor-in-chief
of the tabloid magazine DirtNow.

So dirty

This graffiti artist recently turned pop surrealism painter

live together in harmony.

Fecal Face interview to Greg Simkins and shows us part

We still enjoy cycling and we like bike users and we
love the urban bikers with their own style.

moranatti_1.jpg

Emilio Morenatti is one of the best Spanish photojournalists now.

His photos show us all that the rich believe never will see live:
the dirty reality of the unfortunates.

If you are in Almería (Spain) before 15th of January you can
see his work in CAF
(Centro Andaluz de la Fotografía)

The video is really crap but the song rules.

Groovy infectious (and a bit tacky) soul.

White Hunter, Black Heart

White Hunter Black Heart.jpg

Clint Eastwood is one of my favourite directors and this movie (1990)
(that it was a commercial fiasco) is, in my oppinion, one of his
best.

Tha man facing his contradictions.

"Les Cerfs-Volants" Benjamin Biolay

This morning I heard this song on the radio (Radio3) and I really was catched by its "cool-decadent" atmosphere.

Egon Schiele (Poster)

Schiele.jpg

I just can say this poster by Egon Schiele kills me.

He was one of the best 20th century painters and made some fantastic posters that we can admire now.

Weeds

Weeds.jpg

Another of my favourite TV Serie, now.

Weeds is very different
from a typical comedy.

"Crazy people inmerse in crazy situations and Mary-Louise Parker"

Enjoy the trip
